About via ferrata
You're in a harness with a safety line the whole way, and a certified guide takes you through the routines before you start. Both routes run on Saturdays: the yellow route requires at least 120 cm, the blue route at least 150 cm, and the blue route ends with a zipline back to the ground. Popular for birthdays, stag and hen parties and team-building — and one of the few places you get this feeling without heading to the mountains.

Is there a via ferrata in Stavanger?
Yes — Playground at Forus has an indoor via ferrata: a secured obstacle course 20 metres below the ceiling, with a harness, safety line and certified guide the whole way. The blue route ends with a zipline back to the ground. It is the only indoor via ferrata in the Stavanger region — normally you would have to head for the mountains; here it runs all year, whatever the weather.
How old or tall do you have to be for the high-obstacle course?
Height is what counts, not age: the yellow route requires at least 120 cm, the blue route at least 150 cm. Everyone wears a harness with a safety line the whole way, and a certified guide walks you through the routines before you start.
Does the high-obstacle course need to be booked in advance?
Yes. The course runs on Saturdays and must be booked in advance. The ticket covers the whole park that day, so you don't need a separate admission ticket. You'll see the price in the booking at playground.no/via-ferrata/book. A dedicated package exists for birthdays, stag and hen parties and team building.

Yes. The ticket covers the whole park on the day you have booked. Come whenever you like within opening hours, and do the high-obstacle course at the time you chose. Unlimited play time — climbing, skate, scoot, trampoline and net park included. The gym (from age 15) is included too.
