What data we collect

When you send a message via the contact form, we store your name, email address and the content of the message. When you visit playground.no, we collect anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics 4 — only after you have given your consent via the cookie banner.

What we use the data for

Contact details are used to reply to your enquiry, and are followed up via our CRM (HubSpot). Usage statistics help us understand which pages work well and which ones we need to improve. We never sell personal data.

If you have consented to marketing, we also measure how our ads perform. To do that we share a purchase ID, the amount and an ad click ID with Google Ads and Meta, so a purchase can be tied to the ad you clicked. We never share your name, email or phone number in clear text. If you do not consent to marketing, nothing is sent to these services.

Cookies and consent

We only set strictly necessary cookies before you give your consent. If you choose “Accept all”, we may also set analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and marketing cookies. One of the latter is pg_click_ids, which stores the ad click ID from Google or Meta for up to 90 days so we can see which ad led to a purchase; another is pg_first_touch, which remembers for up to 90 days which campaign you first arrived from, so we can tell whether an ad started a purchase you later completed directly; and a third is pg_last_utm, which remembers for up to 7 days which campaign you most recently clicked, so a purchase you complete a few days after clicking an ad can still be tied to that campaign. All three hold only campaign labels from the link you arrived on — never your name or contact details — and none is ever set unless you have consented to marketing.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Manage cookies” at the bottom of the page. If you withdraw your marketing consent, we also delete the pg_click_ids, pg_first_touch and pg_last_utm cookies. You can also delete the cookies for playground.no in your browser — we will ask again on your next visit. You are also welcome to contact us at post@playground.no if you want us to delete data we have already stored.

KilterLeague

If you join KilterLeague, we store a display name with your first name and last initial (“Kari N.”), the e-mail address from your Playground account, and the routes you tick off yourself, with points and any flash. Your display name, routes, points and ranking are shown publicly on playground.no and on the screen by the board. “Latest entries” shows name, route and grade, so the list reveals roughly when you climbed.

If you are under 13, a guardian must consent on your behalf. We read your age from your Playground account to know whether that is required, but we do not store your date of birth.

You can leave at any time from “My page” — we then delete your display name, e-mail and entries. If you have won a month, your name is also removed from the winners’ archive. Your participant record and archive rows are deleted automatically after 13 months of inactivity, and entries older than 13 months are cleared.

One exception to deletion: if an account is excluded from KilterLeague (for example for cheating), the exclusion persists even if you leave — otherwise it could be bypassed by re-joining. We then store only the customer number, the time and the reason, and the record is deleted 13 months after the exclusion or its reversal.

Storage period and your rights

Contact-form messages are stored for up to 24 months before they are deleted. Analytics data is anonymised after 14 months. You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and data portability — contact us at post@playground.no.

Complaints and contact

If you believe we are processing personal data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no). Data controller: Playground Forus AS, org. no. 933 030 768, Tvedtsenteret, Lagerveien 2, 4033 Stavanger.
